Washington has so many exciting places to visit and things to do, especially in June.
Summer is a great time to visit the University of Washington Botanical Gardens, the Pacific Science Center, the Seattle Aquarium, Woodland Park Zoo, Pike Place Market, eastside hiking trails (we'd be happy to share our favorites! just email wedding@diachronism.net), the Museum of History and Industry, local theatre, and so much more.
If you're interested in taking a day trip or spending more time in the area, we particularly recommend Mount Rainier National Park, the Olympic National Park on the peninsula, and the San Juan islands.
The wedding venue is in Lakewood, near Tacoma, which boasts Point Defiance Zoo, the Museum of Glass, and the Washington State History Museum.
For lodging, we've heard great things about the Hotel Murano in Tacoma, the W Hotel in Seattle. Of course, there are many other wonderful places to stay (including our wedding venue, which is a fully operational bed and breakfast) and if you need assistance, please reach out to us.
Directions to Thornewood Castle
Thornewood Castle is approximately 45-minutes from Seattle and parking at the venue is limited, so carpooling is highly encouraged. Please contact wedding@diachronism.net if you'd like help coordinating transportation.
